Under Graduate Diploma
The Undergraduate Diploma in Hospitality at D.Y. Patil School of Hospitality is awarded after the successful completion of the first two years of academic study along with the mandatory industry training. The program provides students with a strong foundation in hospitality operations through a balanced combination of classroom learning and practical exposure. Students develop essential competencies in Front Office Operations, Housekeeping Management, Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Communication Skills, and Customer Service Excellence. The industry training component enables students to apply their knowledge in real-world hospitality environments, preparing them for operational and supervisory roles in hotels, resorts, restaurants, and related service sectors.
B.Sc.
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Hospitality is awarded upon the successful completion of three years of study. During the third year, students undertake advanced hospitality education with opportunities to specialize in key areas such as Hotel Operations, Accommodation Management, Food & Beverage Management and Culinary Arts. The curriculum integrates managerial concepts, operational excellence, leadership development, and industry-oriented learning. Through internships, projects, and specialized coursework, students gain comprehensive knowledge and professional skills required for careers in the global hospitality and tourism industry.
B.Sc. Hons.
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Hospitality with Honours is awarded after the successful completion of the fourth year, which focuses on advanced specialization and research. Students deepen their expertise in their chosen specialization area while undertaking independent research projects, industry-based studies, and innovation-driven assignments. The honours year emphasizes strategic hospitality management, entrepreneurship, sustainability, research methodology, data analysis, and contemporary industry trends.
