Aim of National Service Scheme: Development of personality of students through Community Service.
National Service Scheme (NSS) has been introduced at University as a part of the academic programs and since then NSS has been functioning as a regular feature in the domain of our university education. The overall objective of the scheme is educational and service to the community. It is the activity through which the objective is sought to be achieved. It is a student-cantered program in which projects are implemented by the NSS volunteers in the community in close collaboration with the community and thereby it provides vast scope for the student’s interaction with the people. The cardinal principle of the NSS program is that it is organized by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building.

NSS Camp 2026 (Nandagaon)
The NSS camp at Nandagaon organized by D. Y. Patil School of Hospitality was a meaningful initiative aimed at community development and social awareness. Students actively participated in cleanliness drives, awareness programs, and rural engagement activities. The camp helped in developing leadership, teamwork, and a sense of social responsibility among students. It was a valuable experience that connected academic learning with real-life service.

NSS Camp 2025 (Nigave Khalsa)
The NSS Camp at Nigave Khalsa, Taluka Karveer, included guest lectures, cooking workshops for women, and a safety demo for high-school girls. A tree plantation drive was conducted to promote greenery. School children participated in fun competitions, making the camp lively and engaging. It was a great effort to educate and support the community.

NSS Camp 2023 (Halasavde)
The ideological orientation of the NSS is inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Very appropriately, the motto of NSS is “NOT ME, BUT YOU”.D Y Patil School of Hospitality, Kolhapur arranged 3 days residential NSS Camp held at Halsavade(Karveer,Kolhapur).To support and educate the community at village various activities including health check-up, Baker workshop, Cleaning of village, tree plantation and arranged and celebrated.
